20minute Lessons -
These lessons are designed for younger students usually aged between 5 and 10 depending on the ability of the student. We would be working on poetry, acting or devising. These lessons can be relaxed and fun confidence building classes or a mixture of relaxed and fun but with the aim to work towards sitting a LAMDA exam by memorising some poetry and questions.
30minute Lesson -
These lessons are designed for students ages 10-13 years old but again depending on ability. At this stage the student can decide if they'd like to work on studying Verse and Prose, Acting or Speaking in Public with the plan to continue this to medal grades. Students will work on vocal warm ups working towards better vocal clarity and diction as well as memorising their chosen pieces. In their exam they will perform their chosen pieces and asked questions called 'The Knowledge', this is a part of the exam where the examiner will ask them questions on their chosen subject.
40minute -
These lessons are aimed at students who are working towards their medal grade exams (Grade 6 - 8). Usually students are aged between 14 and 18 years old. If they pass these exams successfully they will gain UCAS points which would accumulate to an A level equivalent before even sitting their A level exams! These lessons are longer, harder and they will have more homework so please make sure your child has the time to take them on. - I do also take these lessons with students just looking to work on their acting techniques, public speaking or audition technique.
I offer 30 to 40 minute guidence for adults who are seeking some pointers in interview technique, speaking in public (Eg business meetings and seminars) or students who are looking to take acting as a career and are applying for drama schools with audition pieces.
I take classes in blocks of four. I ask for payment on the 1st of each new month or block. Lessons will be set on the same day and time each week however I am aware that amendments may need to happen from time to time.
